Here we are in the first proper flushes of summer, and it’s a festival-tastic month ahead!

St Nick’s Tours have now launched a Bristol Chocolate Tour to take in some of Bristol’s chocolate heritage (and we have a surprising amount!). Tours take place every Saturday in the city centre.

Congratulations to Bristol Beer Factory on their pale ale Independence (one of my faves) being named Champion Beer of Britain 2026 by CAMRA! And also to The Bristol Cheesemonger for being named one of the ten best cheesemongers in the South West.

Migrateful cookery school are hosting an evening of talks, food and music on Wednesday 17th for Bristol Refugee Festival: How Do We Build Connection in a Polarised World? – it’s a great opportunity to learn more about the work they do, meet some lovely people and eat delicious food.

Festivals & Celebrations

Food Truck Friday is back at Arnolfini on 5th June and every first Friday of the month throughout summer, with Grain Barge hosting their Decks on the Decks event the same evening and every other Friday until the end of July.

The first Saturday in June (6th) is absolutely rammed with festivals – free street food event Bristol Food Fest in the Harbourside Amphitheatre, International Cultural Festival and the Latin Market in Broadmead, Bristol Craft Brew Festival at Document in St Jude’s, Vegan Fest at Left Handed Giant’s brewery taproom in St Phillips, and Hubfest at Hop Union brewery in Brislington.

Bitton Beer Bash is back at Avon Valley Railway’s Bitton Station from 5th – 7th June, with a range of breweries, and entry is just £5.50, or £3.50 on Sunday!

Bristol Craft Beer Festival is back on the harbourside from Friday 12 – Saturday 13 June, hosting over 50 breweries and pouring 300+ beers, all of which are included in your ticket. The food lineup includes Danny’s Burgers, Gurt Wings, Pasture, Bokman and Pig’s Pizza.

Head to Old Market for AfroFest at Trinity on Saturday 13th, with live music, food vendors, DJs and family entertainment. The same day is Sausage and Cider Festival at Eastville Park, with 20 types of sausage and 30 different ciders, plus music tribute acts.

The following weekend sees Bristol Vegan Fayre at Document on Sat 20th and the Festa de Sao Joao do Porto on Sunday 21st, with food, music, art and wine outside The Pump House.

Tickets are starting to run low for Feast On (23 – 26 July), which will feature food stalls from some of the best restaurants in the city, as well as a market hall, live music, wine tastings and cookery school classes.
