Congratulations to the Bristol restaurants named in SquareMeal’s Top 100 UK Restaurants 2026 – the number one spot went to the amazing Wilsons in Redland (if you haven’t been, please rectify that asap, you can get the lunch set menu for under £40), with Dongnae, OTHER and Lapin also making the top 100.

Four Bristol cafes have also made it onto a list of the best in the country by TimeoutDareshack in the city centre, Greytone in St Paul’s, Sweven in Bedminster, and Wogan in St Jude’s.

Thinking ahead to festival season, presale tickets are now on sale for Feast On in July, early bird tickets are on sale for Bristol Craft Beer Festival in June, and Valley Fest has just dropped their music lineup, which you can enjoyed alongside the usual cookery demo and feasts in Chew Valley.

Coming soon to this corner of Bristol are the brilliant Brother Thai, going into the Carriageworks building, and nearby on Cheltenham Road, La Totti will be opening an Italian cafe.

Over on Chandos Road there are two new places to try – MEY.ZE Turkish meze restaurant, and Barroux wine bar. On St Michaels Hill, Psychopomp are soon reopening their gin bar, and Je Jean’s will be a new Thai takeaway and restaurant.

A couple of venues have also seen a bit of change, with Aqua on Welshback getting a refurb, and Bristol Beer Factory taking over The Pump House in the harbour.
