Congratulations to the brilliant Panunzio’s in Cotham for winning the Best Dessert Shop award at England’s Business Awards for the second year running – if you haven’t tried their delicious gelato yet, remedy that immediately!

And a round of applause to the three Bristol bakeries who have been shortlisted in the National Bakery Awards 2025: The Bristol Loaf, Farro, and Hart’s Bakery.

The Latin Market returns to Broadmead on Sunday 12th October, with street food, stalls and live entertainment.

Be the first to sample the new festive flavours and get a discount on chocolatey gifts at Zara’s Chocolates Christmas Preview on Wednesday 8th from 6pm.

Start practising now – the annual El Rincon Tortilla de Patata Competition returns on Sunday 30th November! If you think your cooking skills are up to scratch and you could lift the trophy, head on down.

New places to visit

Limone Ristorante is now open in Bathurst Basin in what was formerly Casa, and before that Casamia. Expect classic Italian dishes in stylish surrounds on the harbourside.

Drizzle bakery is also now open on Christmas Steps, with freshly made cakes and great coffee.

Coming soon: Flat Iron steakhouse is opening on Clare Street in December.
